Vyke Agrees an Exclusive Partnership with O-Zone Networks for Mobile VoIP in India
Vyke today announces that it has signed an exclusive strategic partnership agreement with O-Zone Networks of India, whereby O-Zone will act as master reseller for Vyke's complete product range with a strong focus on Vyke Mobile for the private and business segment.
This exclusive partnership, which is for an initial period of ten years, with an option to extend it to twenty years, builds upon the component strengths of both Vyke and O-Zone by combining Vyke's leading paid mobile VoIP service and O-Zone's leading position as the Wi-Fi service provider in India.
O-Zone Networks Pvt. Limited, which is headquartered in New Delhi and has representative offices in Bangalore and Mumbai, was founded with the aim of providing wireless internet and mobility solutions to the masses across India. O-Zone's business plan has been to build a wireless broadband entity that is a hybrid of owned, overlay and roaming networks across Tier 1 retail, commercial, leisure, hospitality, transportation and residential locations. The objective is to provide a fully integrated and seamless mobile broadband experience across all of these networks at affordable prices. Aligning with its core plan to be India's largest Wi-Fi Operator, O-Zone also provides its clients with value add services and solutions which use wireless broadband technology as the transport layer for high bandwidth applications and services.
This exclusive and strategic partnership provides Vyke with access to O-Zone's loyal and growing base of wireless customer, and further, it provides O-Zone access to Vyke's Mobile VoIP product offering and adds a new and high-potential sales channel to its existing distribution structure. This also position Vyke to benefit from the high growth rate enjoyed by O-Zone's fast roll-out of open platform wireless broadband voice, text and community services across India.
The first services are expected to be launched through O-Zone by the end of Q1, 2010 based on a revenue and profit sharing model between the parties. Launch is not expected to add any significant cost to Vyke's existing and scalable infrastructure.
